Before music, sound has ethics. Sound is indigenous and music is civilized. Andre— not unlike Stevie's secret life of plants, or aphex twins catalog— you have captured yourself in a honeyjar and allowed sound to admire you. Like kids poking at a bag of betta fish. Like tikes and their glass veil of lightning bugs. These moments, soundbytes...essays on this album are seems to be your astonishment of sound. Or should I say, they are sound's astonishment of you—They found you. I appreciated that. We allow music to capture us in a 4/4 beat measure, verses, hook over a bridge and sinker. That's the usual formula. Then we are put on shelves and sold like an item. These songs I wouldn't call instrumentals...they are experimentals. Go to a class of kindergartners during recess. It's probably the closest thing we have to indigenous thought within civilization. This album doesn't feel "ancient" or "caveman". That's not what I mean by indigenous. It just feels like I can admire an artist without the triflings of the rat race nibbling on my ear. Thank you for being an agent of "momentum" and a witness to "moment." We get to listen to that "moment" in series. It's not about liking or disliking the album to me. It's about enjoying the album. How often do we take fire for granted. We flick a light switch, and a room becomes illuminated. That's such a curious and gorgeous thing. The album feels like an ode to all things that mundanely encompasses us; mundane only because we forget to notice the spirit of invention around us. I waved hello to my stove after I listened to your album. I said goodbye to my home when I left out this morning. The momentum made me a little more grateful. 5 stars for being an agent of using sound to recognize the spirit of invention and human in exercision. 5 stars for the use of "moment". Keep doing what makes you happy. I enjoy when not artists , but PEOPLE make what they WANT.
